The International Short Film Category accepts films from around the world in any topic or form.
We celebrate film making and storytelling through a combination of formats, backgrounds, themes and ways of expressing a message.
The 2012 Edition will take place on Saturday, October 27 2012.
MISSION AND OBJECTIVE
The mission of the London City Film festival is to empower the Film-makers, to allow recognition for their contribution to the film industry and to the world and to connect their works to a global audience. It is also our mission to celebrate and encourage creativity around the planet.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The London City Film Festival explores a wide range of topics that offer insights to the many issues affecting our world. Films are judged purely on how the film-makers communicate with their audience no matter what the subject, style or format is.
Above all we are interested in unique stories, great stories, with unique perspectives and angles and that communicate important and deep messages.
Besides that we very much value technical execution, cinematography, style, direction, the soundtrack. We want to promote technical excellency together with great storytelling. Show us that you can tell a great story and with style. We are waiting for your film.
The London City Film Festival is supported by prestigious media organizations such as the London Academy of Media, Film and TV and others.
The Festival, in addition, brings unique tools to all the participants and audiences, such as Posterini.com, an online tool the festival offers for people to create their own movie posters, be it for their short films or to experiment and brainstorm new ideas.
GENERAL RULES
* Films should be no longer than 30 minutes
* To encourage the filmmaking world to fully make use of digital and online tools, we only accept online submissions and we perform all our screening process online. You can upload your film online through withoutabox, or send us a link to your film in Vimeo, YouTube or any other high quality HD Video streaming website.
* All material you submit should have your copyright and any other permission required
If you have already submitted your film through Withoutabox, you can
send us your film in two ways
a) Uploading an Online Screener through Withoutabox, this is the preferred way
b) Sending us a Vimeo or YouTube link by email info@londoncityfilmfestival.com
If you do this, please write in the Subject of your email the following:
“Submission number (add number), online screener”
